LAST WEEK'S ROUND UP: Business waited until Friday to develop
again this week. Northern dressed trade had a full range of
$170 to $176, mostly $173, generally $1 higher than last
week's weighted average basis Nebraska. Southern live trade
was at $108, steady to $1 lower than the bulk of last week's
trade. According to the Friday afternoon Mandatory reports
weekly trade volumes were as follows: KS 6,332; NE 21,994; TX
2,741; CO Not available due to Confidentiality; IA 15,267.
Keep in mind that some trade developed after the mandatory
cutoff, so weekly totals may be larger when the weekly
summaries are released later this morning.

DTN MORNING COMMENTS: The country is typically quiet this
Monday morning with bids and asking prices not established as
of yet. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until
the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to be
mixed with generally light box movement.

For the week ending October 12, 2019, Imported Beef Passed for
Entry in the U.S. totaled 35,079, 98.51% of the previous week
and 98.02% of the prior 4-week average.
