Weekly Beef Export Sales 01/10 07:35
Hides and Skins: Net sales of 274,000 pieces for 2025 marketing year,
which began January 1, reported for China (229,800 whole cattle hides,
including decreases of 1,800 pieces), South Korea (26,800 whole cattle
hides, including decreases of 1,400 pieces), Thailand (12,500 whole cattle
hides, including decreases of 500 pieces), and Mexico (5,200 whole cattle
hides), were offset by reductions for Taiwan (300 pieces). Net sales
reductions of 11,300 pieces brought a total of 1,474,800 pieces in sales
that were carried over from the 2024 marketing year, which ended December
31. Exports for the period ending December 31 of 250,300 pieces brought
accumulated exports to 19,785,300 pieces, down 9 percent from the prior
year's total of 21,678,000 pieces. The destinations were primarily to
China (191,900 pieces), Mexico (22,800 pieces), South Korea (11,500
pieces), Thailand (9,700 pieces), and Taiwan (6,000 pieces). Exports for
January 1 of 58,600 pieces were primarily to China (25,500 pieces), South
Korea (20,700 pieces), Thailand (7,400 pieces), Taiwan (3,000 pieces), and
Mexico (800 pieces).
Net sales of 26,300 wet blues for 2025 marketing year, which began January
1, reported for Vietnam (27,700 unsplit, including decreases of 4,600
unsplit), China (2,400 unsplit), Indonesia (1,700 unsplit), South Korea
(1,400 grain splits), and Thailand (300 unsplit), were offset by
reductions for Hong Kong (4,100 unsplit) and Italy (3,100 unsplit). Net
sales of 11,900 unsplit brought a total of 548,400 wet blues in sales that
were carried over from the 2024 marketing year, which ended December 31.
Exports for the period ending December 31 of 101,100 wet blues brought
accumulated exports to 7,244,100 wet blues, up 10 percent from the prior
year's total of 6,607,000 wet blues. The destinations were primarily to
Vietnam (34,700 unsplit), China (22,200 unsplit), Thailand (16,400
unsplit), Italy (9,200 unsplit), and Brazil (5,900 unsplit). Exports for
January 1 of 4,800 wet blues were reported to China (1,600 unsplit),
Vietnam (1,600 unsplit), and Brazil (1,600 unsplit). Net sales of 244,300
splits for 2025 marketing year were reported for China (123,400 pounds)
and Vietnam (120,800 pounds). Accumulated exports of splits in 2025
totaled 3,991,700 pounds, down 20 percent from the prior year's total of
4,792,500 pounds. No exports of splits for January 1 were reported.
Beef: Net sales 5,600 MT for 2025 marketing year, which began January 1,
were primarily for Mexico (2,400 MT, including decreases of 2,800 MT),
South Korea (1,300 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Japan (900 MT,
including decreases of 200 MT), China (500 MT, including decreases of 100
MT), and Canada (300 MT, including decreases of 100 MT), were offset by
reductions for the Dominican Republic (200MT) and Indonesia (100 MT). Net
sales reductions of 800 MT were carried over from the 2024 marketing year,
which ended December 31. Exports for the period ending December 31 of
10,400 MT brought accumulated exports to 797,700 MT, down 2 percent from
the prior year total of 810,200 MT. The primary destinations were to Japan
(3,300 MT), South Korea (2,800 MT), China (1,600 MT), Mexico (800 MT), and
Taiwan (500 MT). Exports for January 1 of 600 MT were primarily to South
Korea (300 MT), Mexico (100 MT), and China (100 MT).
Pork: Net sales of 31,000 MT for 2025 marketing year, which began January
1, were primarily for Mexico (20,600 MT, including decreases of 100 MT),
Japan (3,000 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), Colombia (2,400 MT),
South Korea (1,800 MT, including decreases of 200 MT), and Canada (1,200
MT, including decreases of 500 MT). Net sales of 500 MT were carried over
from the 2024 marketing year, which ended December 31. Exports for the
period ending December 31 of 20,500 MT brought accumulated exports to
1,677,600 MT, up 6 percent from the prior year total of 1,580,000 MT. The
primarily destinations were to Mexico (8,300 MT), Japan (3,000 MT), South
Korea (2,500 MT), China (2,000 MT), and Canada (1,100 MT). Exports for
January 1 of 5,000 MT were primarily to Mexico (2,300 MT), South Korea
(600 MT), Japan (400 MT), China (400 MT), and Canada (300 MT).
